CDAC नोव्हेंबर 1987 मध्ये तयार करण्यात आला,[3] सुरुवातीला प्रगत संगणन तंत्रज्ञान विकास केंद्र (C-DACT) म्हणून.[4][3] 1988 मध्ये, अण्वस्त्रे विकसित करण्यासाठी भारत वापरत असल्याच्या चिंतेमुळे यूएस सरकारने भारताला क्रे सुपर कॉम्प्युटर विकण्यास नकार दिला.[5] प्रत्युत्तर म्हणून, भारताने स्वतःचा सुपर कॉम्प्युटर विकसित करण्यास सुरुवात केली आणि या कार्यक्रमाचा एक भाग म्हणून C-DAC तयार करण्यात आला.[6][7]
डॉ विजय भटकर यांना C-DAC चे संचालक म्हणून नियुक्त केले होते.[7] या प्रकल्पाला तीन वर्षांचा प्रारंभिक रन आणि क्रे सुपर कॉम्प्युटरची किंमत ₹30,00,00,000 चा प्रारंभिक निधी देण्यात आला.[7]
1990 च्या झुरिच सुपर-कॉम्प्युटिंग शोमध्ये एक प्रोटोटाइप संगणक बेंचमार्क करण्यात आला. हे दाखवून दिले की भारताकडे जगातील दुसऱ्या क्रमांकाचा शक्तिशाली, सार्वजनिकरित्या प्रदर्शित केलेला, युनायटेड स्टेट्स नंतरचा सुपर कॉम्प्युटर आहे.[7][8]
प्रयत्नांचे अंतिम परिणाम म्हणजे PARAM 8000, 1991 मध्ये प्रसिद्ध झाले.[9] हा भारतातील पहिला सुपर कॉम्प्युटर मानला जातो.
नॅशनल सेंटर फॉर सॉफ्टवेअर टेक्नॉलॉजी, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक रिसर्च अँड डेव्हलपमेंट सेंटर आणि CEDTI 2003 मध्ये C-DAC मध्ये विलीन करण्यात आले.
2. पदे :- CDAC Bharti 2023 प्रकल्प व्यवस्थापक, प्रकल्प अभियंता, प्रकल्प तंत्रज्ञ आणि प्रकल्प सहयोगी अशा विविध पदांसाठी भरती आयोजित करते.
3. पात्रता :- CDAC Bharti 2023 भरतीसाठी पात्रता निकष अर्ज केलेल्या पदावर अवलंबून असतात. साधारणपणे, उमेदवारांनी मान्यताप्राप्त विद्यापीठ किंवा संस्थेतून संबंधित क्षेत्रात पदवी किंवा पदव्युत्तर शिक्षण पूर्ण केलेले असावे. अर्ज केलेल्या पदावर अवलंबून कमाल वयोमर्यादा बदलते.
4. भरतीची निवड प्रक्रिया :- CDAC Bharti 2023 भरतीसाठी निवड प्रक्रियेमध्ये लेखी परीक्षा आणि मुलाखत असते. लेखी परीक्षेत अर्ज केलेल्या पदाच्या क्षेत्राशी संबंधित वस्तुनिष्ठ-प्रकारचे प्रश्न असतात. लेखी परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या उमेदवारांना मुलाखतीसाठी बोलावले जाते.
5. ऑनलाइन अर्जाची प्रक्रिया :-
या भरतीसाठी ऑनलाइन अर्ज भरण्यापूर्वी, उमेदवारांनी ‘सामान्य नियम आणि अटी’ काळजीपूर्वक वाचल्या पाहिजेत.
- उमेदवाराने सर्व पात्रता मापदंड वाचले पाहिजेत आणि ऑनलाइन अर्ज करण्यास सुरुवात करण्यापूर्वी तो/ती या पदासाठी पात्र असल्याची खात्री करा.
- उमेदवाराकडे वैध ईमेल आयडी आणि मोबाईल क्रमांक असावा. जे निवड प्रक्रिया पूर्ण होईपर्यंत वैध आणि सक्रिय राहिले पाहिजे.

6. परीक्षेचे प्रवेश पत्र :- CDAC Bharti 2023 ह्या भरतीसाठी परीक्षेचे Admit Card ही त्यांच्या Official Website अपलोड केले जातात. आणि मग उमेडवरांनी download करून घ्यावे जे तुम्हाला परीक्षेला बसण्यासाठी आवश्यक आहे.
7. परीक्षेचा निकल :- मुख्य परीक्षा आणि interview झाल्या नंतर पास झालेल्यांचा निकल हा त्यांच्या Official Website अपलोड केले जातो. आणि मग पुढे वैद्यकीय चाचणीसाठी पास झालेल्याणा बोलावले जाते.

- CDAC was created in November 1987,[3] initially as the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing Technology (C-DACT).[4][3] In 1988, the US Government refused to sell India a Cray supercomputer due to concerns about India using it to develop nuclear weapons.[5] In response, India started development of its own supercomputer and C-DAC was created as part of this programme.[6][7]
- Dr Vijay Bhatkar was hired as the director of C-DAC.[7] The project was given an initial run of three years and an initial funding of ₹30,00,00,000, the cost of a Cray supercomputer.[7]
- A prototype computer was benchmarked at the 1990 Zurich Super-computing Show. It demonstrated that India had the second most powerful, publicly demonstrated, supercomputer in the world after the United States.[7][8]
- The final result of the effort was the PARAM 8000, released in 1991.[9] It is considered to be India’s first supercomputer.
- The National Centre for Software Technology, Electronic Research and Development Center and CEDTI were merged into C-DAC in 2003.
2. Positions :- CDAC conducts recruitment for various positions such as Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Technician, and Project Associate.
3. Eligibility :- The eligibility criteria for CDAC recruitment vary depending on the position applied for. Generally, candidates should have completed their graduation or post-graduation in the relevant field from a recognized university or institute. The maximum age limit varies depending on the position applied for.
4. Selection Process :- The selection process for CDAC recruitment consists of a written test and interview. The written test consists of objective-type questions related to the field of the position applied for. Candidates who clear the written test are called for an interview.
5. Online Application Process :-
Before filling the online application form, Candidates should read ‘General Terms and Conditions’ carefully.
- Candidate should read all the eligibility parameters and ensure that he/she is eligible for the post before starting to apply online.
- Candidate should have a valid email id and mobile no. which should remain valid & active till the completion of selection process.
- Candidates can click on the ‘Apply’ button provided against each post for which he/she wishes to apply.
- Fill all the details in the application form at the appropriate places.

- No hard copy/printed applications should be sent to C-DAC. Incomplete and defectively filled up forms shall be rejected straightway and no subsequent correspondences will be entertained in this regard.
- Candidates are advised to read the job profile carefully and may note that one candidate is advised to apply for one Post only which is most suitable to their qualification and experience before choosing the post for which they wish to apply.
- Candidate working in Government/PSUs/Govt. Autonomous bodies should also apply online in advance and print of the application form, duly filled, and signed, should be forwarded through proper channel to Group Coordinator (HR), Centre for Development of Advanced Computing [CDAC], Anusandhan Bhawan, C-56/1, Institutional Area, Sector-62, Noida – 201309 (U.P). Those who are not forwarding their application through proper channel are required to produce ‘No objection certificate (NOC) from their current employer at the time of interview, if called for, failing which they will not be permitted to attend the interview.
Closing date for applying online: The last date for online submission of application is April 12, 2023 (upto 1800 hrs.).
6. Hall Ticket :- The admit card for the written test is issued to eligible candidates on the official website. Candidates must download and take a printout of the admit card to appear for the examination.
7. Results :- The results of the written test and interview are generally declared on the official website, and candidates who clear the examination and interview are called for document verification and medical examination.
